Way to go team,
We are fullstride in the
mid-season. This is the
time we typically start to
break down, get tired,
bored, and mentally we can
start to shut down. DON'T
LET THAT HAPPEN TO YOU!
Stay excited, and eager each
week to improve and feel
stronger and faster. Even
though I expected some
slower times this week,
there were still plenty of
you that just blew it out.
Great job!
I downloaded all of the
video and will get it to
coach Alan this week so he
can prepare it for the
website. The gopro did
awesome and catching you
guys in action was a lot of
fun.
This week we make a shift to
a little shorter distance,
but faster and flatter
workouts. Now is the time
to begin fine tuning your
muscles. Just think, you
aren't even running your
fastest yet, the best is yet
to come.
I want to encourage you to
check the results for the
first 3 races to see how you
are placing in the
conference. Try to take
another position this week.
It is impossible to
accurately compare your
times between courses, how
you place or how close you
are getting to the next
person in front of you is a
better indication of
improvement. So work hard
this week in practice and go
get a spot on Saturday. El
Cariso is this weeks course
and I believe you are in for
another treat. Although the
course is a little slower,
it is a great park. No
major hills, but lots of
thick grass is what makes it
a little slower. It's a
great spectator course
allowing you to see just
about the whole course from
one spot. Bring your
binoculars:-)
Don't forget about
hydration. Remember to
prepare during the day for
practice. Let's gear up for
the week, I hope you can't
wait, I sure can't!
See you Monday night!
