2 weeks left, what???
It's a long season, but
man does it go fast.
Mt. SAC didn't
disappoint, I hope you
all were proud of
yourselves. That course
is epic as I've said
before and you all did
great. Congratulations
to all!!
This week we start the
taper to the end...
Tapering is the idea of
refreshing your legs,
body, and mind by
cutting back on the
distance so we can be
fresh for the final
races. This doesn't mean
we relax!!! You can do
that in 2 weeks. We'll
keep the intensity up
for intervals but we'll
be doing less of them.
This part of the season
it's time to refocus and
enjoy every practice.
Again, don't relax
though!!! We'll be
enjoying El Cariso this
Saturday. The park is
beautiful and the course
is all grass. So, again,
it's not the fastest
course but strength
rules and guess what,
you guys are strong. I
asked if anyone knew
what El Cariso meant and
no one knew so I did a
little research. The
park was named after 10
hotshot firefighters
from the El Cariso Squad
that died fighting a
fire there. Gang, let's
honor those guys and
light up the course,
grab a couple spots.
If you weren't happy
with your MT. SAC race,
bring it back Saturday.
You guys can do it!!
