Volunteers needed – For this weekend's meet. I’ll have a signup sheet at practice


Make up Pictures Moved to Next Week  Make up pictures will be taken on Wednesday April 23, for athletes who missed the picture. The photographer called and he is unable to make it this week, In other news, Pictures will be here late this week, and you will get a chance to preview your pictures, if you want to retake them you will have to return the package and bring your uniform next week.

Lapathon Funds are Due This Wednesday April 16, Please try to collect all those pledges and get those funds in. Remember that the Grand Prize is 4 Park Hopper Tickets to Disneyland and California Adventure.


Scholastic Forms are also due This Wednesday April 16.

Reminder Parents Please: walk outside the fence around the track while practice is going on.

Eating and Drinking at a track meet. It is important that your athlete eats and drinks while at a track meet. Food should be light (such as turkey or chicken sandwiches etc.. fresh fruit and vegetables are also great foods, drinks should be water or sports drinks like Gatorade. Avoid sugary drinks such as soda, and energy drinks like Red bull. Other items such as candy, snow cones and ice cream should be avoided until after competition. This will help avoid the "Sugar High" and the "Sugar Crash"

Relays Many parents are wondering about the composition of the relay teams. Here is a brief guideline of how coaches assemble the teams:

  1. Athletes must Sign up at practice for the relay
  2. They must attend at least 2 practices a week
  3. All coaches have mandatory relay practice on Thursday.
  4. The faster times in the 100m and 400m will be considered for the A-Team
  5. Athletes meeting all of the above criteria will also be selected based on how well they work together with the relay team at coach’s discretion.

Lost and Found items will be donated to Good Will on Thursday, Please check the fence as you enter the track for any missing items, this will be your last opportunity to retrieve any lost items that have been found.
