HOT DOGS, HAMBURGERS, CONDIMENTS, AND PAPER GOODS WILL BE PROVIDED.

Food Assignments:
Everyone needs to help out by bringing extra food, rule of thumb, bring enough for twice your family.

Bring 2 items.

Bantams & Intermediates: Drinks 2-12 pack or 4-6 pack (1 case) any type of soda, juice boxes, water. NO TWO LITER BOTTLES!! Please put in an ice chest with ice.
please make sure there is enough for everyone to have at least 2 drinks each.

Gremlin and Midgets:

Side Dishes - Salads, potato salad, coleslaw, fruit, baked beans, chips & dips, veggies, etc. PLEASE REMEMBER A SERVING SPOON
Bring at least enough for your family and another family.

Youths:

Dessert for 12 - PLEASE precut or sliced finger desserts would be great. I.E. Cookies, brownies, etc.

Game suggestions are also welcome!!!

Practice Schedule

Tuesday May 10, 6:00 - 7:45 at VHS

Wednesday May 11, 6:00 - 7:45 at VHS

Thursday May 12, 6:00 - 7:45 at VHS

Open Final Meet

The open final meet is for all athletes who did not get a qualifying mark in any of the individual events, & all Gremlin athletes. It will be held on May 14 at College of the Canyons. This is the final meet of the season for those athletes.

League Championship Meet

All qualified athletes and a select few athletes in the top of the league will be invited to the Western League Championship meet. To be held at College of the Canyons on Sunday May 15. Click Here to See a List of Qualifiers

The coaches will attend a seeding meeting tonight (May 10) of the League to finalize the seeding of the championship meet. Non-qualified athletes will fill any open positions in any events by the top 20 list of the league.

The top 4 and best 5th athletes in each event of the League Championship meet on Sunday May 15 will be advanced to the Individual Event Championship meet (IECs) to be held May 21, 2011 at Moorpark College. This is the best of the Conference championship meet.

Individual Event Championship Meet

This is the final event of the year at the conference level. The top four (4) finishers in each event from both leagues (East & West) and the best fifth mark will be invited to compete in this Conference wide Championship meet to be held this year at Moorpark College May 21. Practice for these athletes will be at Saugus High School the week of May 16.

Coaches Thank You Dinner Donations

In Lieu of gifts for your coaches we ask that you donate to the coaches thank you dinner. Michele will have a decorated gift box to collect your donation. The thank you dinner is planned for early to mid June.

General Membership Meeting

Each year by law all corporations are required to have annual membership meeting. We will have our general membership meeting and board of directors elections on May 12. This will take place in the grand stands at Valencia High School during practice.

Our Board of Directors elections will also take place at this time, According to our by-laws, our officers hold office for 2 years, with 1/2 of the board being elected each year. Those positions up for election this year are: President, Secretary, Equipment Manager (Uniform/Merchandise Director), and Member at Large. (Up to Three)

IEC Practice

Next week our practice will be at Saugus High School for all athletes who advance to IECs. More details coming in the next newsletter.
