Justin Baltau
We found out at IEC's
that our hurdler Justin
Baltau was in surgery
for cancer, we took a
moment of silence at the
IECs and at our picnic
to contemplate the news,
to offer our thoughts
and prayers for his
speedy recovery.
Justin's mother Shari
Baltau-Schmidt writes on
Sunday May 22:
"I want to thank you for your support today. It was hard for me to be
there without Justin,
but I showed him videos
I took and he really
loved the IEC booklet.
He is grateful for so
much love from his
coaches. I am too. I
truly feel blessed to
have all of you in the
lives of my child and
myself. The difference
this group has made in
helping Justin's self
esteem is unremarkable.
I am hoping that in a
few weeks (maybe less?)
I can send out an
email/text to have some
friends/coaches come out
for pizza with Justin
just to celebrate the
season again and his
recovery. Hope you all
can come.
I will update as soon as
I know the outcome of
the pathology tests and
MRI.
Love and Thanks,
Shari Baltau-Schmidt"
